Job Description
An experienced Book Keeper is required for a great company near Halifax West Yorkshire. Sayjo Recruitment are working with a traditional company in Elland, offering a competitive salary, benefits and a positive working environment.

Our client is looking for a positive, honest and motivated person with experience in a busy accounts team, ideally for someone who can take control of all the book keeping duties. There is ongoing support from the company Accountant to develop your career and skills.

Duties include:

* Ledger entry and reconciliation

* Banking reconciliation and payments

* Month end reports and year end reports

* Raising sales invoices for clients

* Basic credit control

* Regular contact with clients and suppliers

* Monthly upload of pension reports to pension providers

* Processing of the weekly wages

* Preparation of Vat returns

* Supporting the office with day to day enquiries and admin

* Working as a team within the general office

* Monthly meetings with the company offsite Accountant to finalise reports

You will have:

* Great book keeping or accounts experience

* A positive and motivated work ethic – this is the only accounts role within the company but you are in the main office with a great team

* Experience of Sage or Pegasus or inhouse recruitment software

* A good standard of Excel formula and reporting skills

* Experience in payroll or preparing payroll for submission

Our client has free parking, located between Brighouse and Halifax, they offer training and development, a competitive basic, plus benefits and bonuses. Working full time Monday to Friday is ideal, but there is some scope for reduced hours, however, the role is office based.
