Job Description
CMA is currently looking to recruit an Audit Manager for a high profile firm of accountants in Reading. This is a key hire for this firm, requiring a passion for audit and delivering a high quality service to clients. This role would suit a qualified auditor with significant post qualification experience who is currently working in either a management role or a supervisor position. 

What will the role involve:

Overseeing the management of a portfolio of audit clients with duties for these client including: planning assignments, briefing staff, ensuring work is compliant with auditing standards, meeting deadlines up to completion;
Take the lead on advisory assignments;
Business development;
Assist in the research, preparation and presentation of proposals to prospective clients;
To manage assignments in accordance with the firm’s standard procedures and confirm arrangements with the client, including likely costs and billing arrangements;
To liaise with the client throughout the year and to practise the principles of excellent client service at all times;
To ensure that appropriate liaison takes place with all other departments, and that all potential client needs are identified and serviced accordingly.
Suitable candidate:

ACA or ACCA qualified;
Previous experience operating at manager level in a similar role;
Proven experience in managing a portfolio of clients and developing strong client relationships;
Proven wide audit experience in producing high quality audits;
Business development experience and interest would be an advantage.
