Job Description
Robert Walters Group: Assistant Management Accountant – Birmingham – £28,000 – £33,000 – Permanent – Hybrid

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a leading business in their recruitment of an Assistant Management Accountant. The job will sit within the Finance Team which is responsible for all aspects of accounting for the company. This includes the provision of financial and management accounting services, financial analysis, preparation of annual budgets. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in a similar role looking to join a fast-paced team that is consistently working towards improving their service delivery.

Key responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant:

Produce and analyse accurate and timely management and statutory accounting information for internal and external stakeholders

Co-ordinate the arrears management process including liaising with sites

Undertaking various types of analytical work around the financials to further support the business needs and add value

Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasting

Assist with audit queries

Complete timely and accurate reconciliations

Ad-hoc projects and support for change programmes

Being flexible and supporting the team with tasks that need to be completed including cashbook and inbox management

About you as the Assistant Management Accountant:

AAT qualification or equivalent

Strong Excel and analytical skills

High attention to detail

Problem solving skills

Excellent customer service skills

SAP experience would be desirable

Recent experience of working in an analytical finance role and working with large data sets is desirable

Ability to interpret written instruction and maintain accurate records
