Job Description
I am currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join an exciting and impressive company in Whitchurch. Working closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager you will have a purely commercial remit, this is more than just producing the numbers and will really develop your management accounting career.
Duties will include:
Assist with the month end management accounts preparation
Preparation and posting of accruals and prepayments
Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts with underlying systems and records
Management of the Purchase Order system
Assistance with year-end schedules and audit queries during the year end cycle
Production of weekly and monthly KPI reports for the leadership team and group reports as appropriate
Liaise with department KPI contributors to challenge KPI's that are "out of the norm", understand reasons and ensure this is communicated to the wider management team
Support in the maintenance of the Customer Profitability Model.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasting process.
Update management system for pricing changes.
Qualifications & Experience:
Relevant financial qualification or experience (Relevant degree/AAT qualified/looking to study CIMA/ACCA/part-qualified)
Strong Excel skills and systems-savvy
Understanding of accounting principles
Ability to work within a team
Excellent interpersonal skills
