Job Description
Gleeson Recruitment Group is supporting a world renowned, British manufacturer in their search for an Assistant Financial Controller. The business is a household name and is going from strength to strength. As such, this $250m turnover business unit has a need for a new pair of hands to steer the ship.

You'll be working on site in modern offices with a large, supportive finance team around you. Reporting into the FC, you'll have a knowledgeable, experienced leader to lean on and learn from, and be rewarded with the support and backing of a large company with future progression opportunities abound.

The role:

The main part of your role will be to run the business unit to effectively control the financial accounts as well providing management reports to enable informed decision making. The usual tasks of forecasting, budgeting, month end and assisting with audit will be coupled with managing an Assistant Accountant, creating and maintaining management accounts models and completing balance sheet reconciliations.

In brief, your day to day will include:

Financial reporting, P&L and variance analysis
Provide insights and analysis to make recommendations to key stakeholders
Act as an FBP across this business unit as well as the wider group
Statutory accounts
Monthly management accounts and associated reporting
Produce performance indicator reports and analysis
Cash flow forecasting and budgeting
Be a POC for external auditors
Investment appraisals as well as financial risk assessments

Requirements:

ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar
Experience in a Management Accounting role within a busy team
SAP and Excel knowledge
Manufacturing experience advantageous
Willing to be on-site full time
A good team player with prior experience in a people management position
