This is a full-time permanent position situated in the heart of Hertford so has plenty of accessible transport links.

Duties will include:

· Administering payroll

· Managing the accounts team

· Looking after a portfolio of clients and producing Accounts/Tax Returns

· Dealing with inbound enquiries

· Preparation of year end accounts

· Preparation and submission of VAT returns

· Dealing with insolvency cases where appropriate

· Compiling and presenting reports, budgets, and business plans

· Preparation of management accounts

· Other ad-hoc duties as required

Person Spec:

· ACA/ACCA Part or Full Qualified

· Strong experience using Xero – certification preferable

· Experience using IRIS

· Strong people management skills

· Full understanding of the end-to-end accountancy process

· The ability to provide tax planning

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to meet clients face to face where required
