Job Description
Senior Accountant – Practice

We are recruiting for Senior Accountant to join an established and reputable accountancy practice based north of York's city centre. This company prides itself on its commitment to work/life balance and ensuring that their people have the flexibility they need not just daily but weekly. This is a full time position, 37 hours – you choose how to deliver that in your week. As long as you are in the office 10am-4pm 4 days of the week, the rest is up to you. A salary circa £28,000 is offered along with an amazing benefits package and free parking.

The role

* Accounts prep for clients ranging from SMEs to larger entities

* Preparation of VAT return

* Statutory & year end accounting

* Providing a finance function to a range of clients

* Preparation of financial statements

* Providing advice on personal and corporate tax

To be considered, candidates should have meaningful experience within an Accountancy Practice and be at the final stages of ACCA or have achieved this Qualification. We're looking for someone with excellent communication skills who can show initiative and independent thinking. Experience of Xero is essential for this role.
