The Role
As a Sales Director, you will play a crucial role in achieving our ambitious origination targets. You will have line Manager responsibility for a team of Relationship Directors, to help develop, coach and support them in their role. You will have warm leads from our leading banking and accountancy partnerships and the opportunity to focus on your own business development, giving you the best of both worlds. In role, you will work closely with business owners to get under the skin of their operation, conduct a full financial analysis and build a robust proposal which supports their business growth in the best possible way.
Working with businesses across a range of sectors, offering both hard and soft assets, you will effectively manage your time and workload to ensure each customer is fully supported and educated on their options, giving a solution focussed and customer orientated service.
Key Responsibilities
· Support, coach and develop a small team of Relationship Directors.
· Support the team on pricing conversations.
· Manage both your own pipeline and that of your team to accurately report to the National Sales Director.
· Report on compliance and pricing exceptions on a weekly and monthly basis.
· Acting as a subject matter expert on all things Asset Finance, acting as a lead contact for SME customers
· Supporting customers to structure complex asset finance deals which solve their problems and boost their business, with a focus on long-lasting relationships
· Negotiate contracts to maximise profit
· Demonstrate and present products to bring in new customers
· Deal origination
· Achievement of SLA's and KPI's
· Maintain CRM systems accurately
· Work closely with the wider partnership team to ensure overall success
· Forecasting and reporting
You will have
Solid asset finance background with the ability to write complex deals
Proven credit skills with the ability to conduct full financial analysis
Business to Business sales experience
Understanding of operational risks, changing economic conditions and regulatory requirements
Asset Finance sales experience
Well-rounded financial services experience
Driven with a hunger to achieve and surpass origination targets
Be a clear and confident communicator
Highly organised and capable of managing multiple priorities
