Practice Accountant

Richmond upon Thames

Our client a small, dynamic and friendly accounts practice based in Richmond upon Thames have an opportunity for an experience Client Manager/ Practice Accountant to join their team.

Practice Accountant Responsibilities:

Leading the day-to-day activity of our small team
Making decisions that balance client objectives with tax rules
Contributing to the strategic plans for the business
P&L responsibility
Client management, keeping clients happy, becoming their trusted confidant and advisor.
Maintaining our position at the forefront of technology developments
Constantly working to improve workflows and processes
Working with our partners to share best practice
Accounts reviewing (and discussing with clients)
Guiding colleagues and clients about tax and accounting issues
Dealing with of all aspects of taxes and accounts
Training clients in the uses of our apps (Xero, Dext)
Some problem-solving, analysis and advisory work
Managing client acquisitionPractice Accountant Requirements:

Accounting qualification (or QBE)
Experience of working in a practice – ideally customer-facing
Good knowledge of Xero and add-ons
Experience of preparing accounts and tax returns
Excellent communication skills, patience and tact
Attention to detail
Problem-solving skills
Enthusiasm for online solutions, exploring the opportunities presented by technological developments
