Job Description
Group Reporting Accountant – 15-month FTC
Location – Blackpool – Hybrid
Salary – £55,000 DOE
As Group Reporting Accountant you will be a key contributor to the internal and reporting for the global plc. You will be part of a team ensuring timely and accurate delivery accompanied by insightful analysis and reporting.
You will work closely with the senior finance team and external auditor to drive compliance with IFRS and internal controls and procedures and partner with functional leaders to delivery analysis of cost performance and forecasting future performance.
In addition, you will provide support and detailed analysis for the developing TCFD related disclosure requirements and readiness planning for pending BEIS reporting reforms.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for the efficient operation of the existing ERP system as well as assisting with readiness planning for a new ERP system.
With a recognised accounting qualification, you will have suitable and sufficient experience of financial governance in a plc or large company environment with up to date IFRS knowledge and of applying this in practice. Experience of working with and interrogating finance and reporting systems together with experience of reporting and consolidation processes in a group environment are also essential.
A high level of PC literacy in Microsoft Office products is essential to be successful in this role, particularly Excel skills to enable effective modelling and interrogation of data.
Finally, you will have demonstrable effective written and verbal communication skills with the confidence and ability to translate financial information to a nonfinancial audience
