Job Description
Finance Assistant
£23-30k, Harrogate Town Centre, HG1, Flexible Hybrid/Remote Working, 37 hours, 33 days holiday – rising with service, Bonus Scheme, Electric Vehicle Scheme, Social & Charity Events, Death in Service.
Would consider Temporary, Temp to Permanent or Permanent.
Due to continued success and business demands we are looking for a Finance Assistant to join this successful Tech company based in the centre of Harrogate. You will work closely with and report directly to the Finance Director.
This is a varied Finance Assistant position which will involve :
Processing high value invoices accurately
Maintaining the Sales Ledger
Maintaining the Purchase Ledger
Weekly payment runs
Creating Purchase orders
Uploading VAT returns
Generating journals
Meeting daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
We would expect the successful candidate to have previous experience working in an Accounts department, experience of Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger is preferred. This role would suit someone who has worked as Sales Ledger Clerk, Purchase Ledger Clerk, Accounts Assistant or Finance Assistant. Someone with AAT qualifications would be preferred but not essential. The most important thing is to have a good understanding of the full accounts process.
You will be joining a well established global Tech Company based in the centre of Harrogate. With modern offices and flexible working for a positive work life balance. The team currently work various hybrid and remote working patterns. You will work 37 hours per week. The core business hours are 10:00-12:00 and 14:00-16:00, outside of these hours you can work flexibly to work around your family, school drop off and other commitments.
