Job Description
DevOps Engineer – Contract

REMOTE (1 office trip possibly per month)

This role is for a Senior DevOps Engineer to work within a specialist software provider of Cyber Security and Software Threat solutions. Projects with this consultancy can range across a variety of sectors including Energy, Media and Central Government. Creating solutions that assist development practises and help some of the largest technology teams in the UK create greenfield software platforms, this contract offers the opportunity to have an impact on a huge scale.

Experience

* 5+ years’ experience in a DevOps role

* Experience working with Agile and/or Scrum methodologies

* Knowledge of a variety of AWS services, including Ec2, CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambda etc.

* Experience building highly available distributed systems

* Experience scripting in Bash and programming knowledge with at least one of; Java, Kotlin, Python, C#, Ruby, Node.js, Golang, C++

* Kubernetes and Docker experience

* An understanding of horizontal scalability

* Ansible, Puppet or Chef experience

* Database and data storage experience with at least one of: SQL, MySQL, Server, Redis, ElasticSearch.
